DSS WEEK 2013: PAKARITAY

The celebration of the DSS WEEK started with a short opening program. Then some activities just like cheer dance competition. This afternoon I am proud to say that I had a great day. Despite the burdens that we have faced due to the pressure which was put upon us, we graced under pressure. We enjoyed what we have made within a short period of time. And I am proud of it. Finally Found IT!

Since the day I watched the movie "The Haunting in Connecticut" I couldn't erase from my mind the nursery rhyme which was mentioned in the said movie. It goes like this: “ One bright day  In the middle of the night Two dead boys got up to fight Back to back  They faced each other Drew their swords And shot each other A deaf policeman heard the noise And came and killed  Those two dead boys ” Since then, I wanted to see the full text of this creepy rhyme. That's why I am so glad that I have finally found the whole version of the rhyme. It is entitled " TWO DEAD BOYS ". TWO DEAD BOYS Ladies and gentlemen, hoboes and tramps, Cross-eyed mosquitoes and bow-legged ants, I come before you to stand behind you, To tell you something I know nothing about. One bright day in the middle of the night, Two dead boys got up to fight. Back-to-back they faced one another, Drew their swords and shot each other.  Boom-boom, what a crazy world, crazy...

CREEPINESS OF CHILDHOOD

As a child, I am not exposed with much nursery rhymes. I could not even say that I have memorized one before. Because I never did. However, as I grow up I became fond of everything to do with children especially songs, rhymes and folktales.  Now, I would like to post series of things concerning children stuff. The first one would be of the Creepiness of Childhood. I chose this because I am quite scared or afraid of the things being mentioned or left unsaid in poems and rhymes for children. Now, the CREEPINESS OF CHILDHOOD shall begin. Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, If I shall die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen. (I would not suggest for a young child to pray this because this is quite creepy. I would like to pray to thank GOD first before I ever say these things.) A Bit of Art : LARA

         Yesterday, I thought I would just be having my typical school day with school works and quizzes to prepare for. I was at the middle of writing a paper when a school official(I don't know his name but his familiar) in our school entered the classroom and announced that our section was required by our teacher to attend an event which was about to be held at that time in one of the school's heritage building. And I went there together with my classmates. When we arrived at the venue of the event which was only about twenty meters away, I realized that the event was an art exhibit. There was a log book which was presented to us by a coordinator where we could sign up our names before the event starts. After signing my name I settled into a chair with several other students.
